2008 Firework Festival

Dubai’s night sky was lit bright yet again as a barrage of fireworks marked the official opening of the DSF 2008 Fireworks Festival. Thousands of people thronged the either sides of the Dubai Creek to witness a spectacular display of the region’s most extravagant fireworks show.

The 15-minute show that began at 9pm brought bustling crowds to a standstill as fireworks of various colours filled the partly-cloudy skies. One of the newest attractions during this year’s DSF, the Fireworks Festival will be held on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays till the end of DSF on February 24.

Organised by the Al Zarooni Group, a key sponsor of DSF 2008, the fireworks this year will be held for a longer period over the weekends to provide a better experience for all visitors and residents in Dubai.

Fireworks, a hallmark of every edition, will be one among the main attractions of DSF 2008 with a combination of sophisticated pyrotechnics and a unique location at the Dubai Creek.
